Hawaii Figure Skating Club

2005 U.S. Collegiate Championships

Official Hotel

The Ocean Resort Hotel Waikiki is the official hotel for the 2005 U.S Collegiate Championships in August.  The LOC has blocked a total of 58 rooms with special rates.  The Moderate Hotel Room will accommodate one or two guests and the Studio w/Kitchenette (Superior or Deluxe) will accommodate one to four guests.

The special rates for these rooms are available from two days before the competition until two days after ( August 7 – 14).  When making reservations, mention the U.S. Collegiate Championships group to get the special rates.  The rates listed below include 11.416% tax.

            Moderate Hotel Room                          $65.74

            Superior Studio w/Kitchenette  $76.88

            Deluxe Studio w/Kitchenette                 $83.56

Reservations may be made by phone (1-800-367-2317) or by mailing the Hotel Reservation Form to the hotel.  August is a busy season for Hawaii hotels, so it is best to make reservations early.  The special rates apply only to the 58 rooms that the LOC has contracted.  The deadline for reserving a room at the special rate is July 7.  After July 7, any remaining blocked rooms return to the regular reservation pool.

Please note that even if the hotel bill is prepaid or being paid by cash or check, the hotel requires that one guest in each room register with a credit card with at least $100 balance available to cover incidentals.

The hotel’s website, www.oceanresort.com, has additional details including a virtual tour.

Hawaii FSC will provide some assistance to competitors interested in finding a roommate to share hotel costs.

The LOC is providing bus transportation between this hotel and the rink for practice ice, Welcome Party (Tuesday evening), and competition.  This transportation is free for competitors, designated coaches, and officials.  Guests may purchase a bus pass for $20 for the four days.
