Miyong Kim
At age 24, Miyong Kim, attends the University of Hawai'i@ Manoa as a
TIM
(Travel Industry Management) major, with a minor in music and sign
language.
Although she competes as an adult, Miyong is currently working on
passing
the pre-juvenile moves in the field and freeskate tests. Her latest
accomplishment
was passing the Skate Canada Introductory and Bronze level
Interpretive tests in November.
When not at the rink, Miyong can be found as a Briefing rep. for
Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays,
helping out the church choir,baking, playing in the UH band or
hunting for interesting music.
The one thing that Miyong enjoys about skating is,"being able to do
something that
people tell me I can't or shouldn't." A final thought to others, "do
anything that you dream
of, and soar high doing it."
