Ian Diaz
Ian Diaz started skating at the Ice Palace in the Tots class at age 5. Who would have thought he would still be skating 10 years later! He has passed the US Figure Skating Intermediate Freeskate & Novice Moves tests and the ISI Freestyle 5 test. Currently he is a volunteer assistant instructor for the skate school classes. Ian has skated all over the USA, including California, Colorado, Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, & Utah, as vacations were combined with skating competitions and training camps.
Ian is a sophomore at Mililani High School. He was on the school swim team last season, they were OIA Junior Varsity Champions. He says the best part about being on the swim team is getting to hang out with your teammates between races. He loves to play basketball and has been playing in a park league since he was 7 years old. This year he learned to snowboard at Copper Mountain, Colorado. He really liked it and hopes to snowboard more next season.
