Ariel Russell
My name is Ariel Russell and I have been skating for about 3 years. I started during my senior year of high school and became addicted. In the past year I have been working on the USFS tests and am at Preliminary. Hopefully I will pass a few more levels this year. My favourite jumps are flip and loop and my spins are camel and layback (even though I am still working on making them look nice). I enjoy volunteering for the Skate School and hope to learn more about coaching by assisting. Eventually I would like to work with a skating program integrating ballet and skating into a more unified method of learning.
Besides skating I am a Dance major at UH Manoa and am part of the Dance Ensemble that travels around the state performing for the community. When I’m not at the rink or school I enjoy watching movies, reading, going dancing with friends, horseback riding, traveling, and eating. I love learning new things and really want to take hip-hop or break dancing when I get a chance.
